In Memorium
Debra Griffin Miller
February 26, 1956 - May 9, 2008
We are deeply saddened to tell you that Deb made her transition suddenly on Friday morning in Portland, Oregon.
Deb joined the Creative Life community in January of 1999 and was licensed as a Religious Science
Practitioner in 2004. On October 31 of that year, she married Robert Miller in what they called their "Hallowedding."
Deb taught Tarot classes for us, co-facilitated several Science of Mind courses, taught our preteens,
worked at the Renaissance Festival, and was a major part of absolutely everything that took place here.
She will always be remembered for her zany humor, brilliant poetry, spontaneity, passion
and great kindness to everyone who crossed her path.
Deb leaves for the time her husband Robert Miller; her children Emily, Josh, Paul, Michelle and Bridget; two grandchildren;
brother Ralph; former husband Preston Bruchmiller and wife Claudia; and countless friends. She was a native of Grapeland, Texas, and a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. Prior to moving to the Northwest,
she was a Special Ed teacher in the Klein Indepdendent School District.
A celebration of Deb's life will take place at 4:00pm on Saturday, May 17 in the Great Hall at Creative Life.
Anyone who wants to share their reminiscence of Deb during the celebration will be welcome to speak.
However, please be considerate of the large number of people who will also want to do so; brevity is best.
Further information on the memorial celebration, if any, will be contained in Tuesday's regular e-mail update.
