What We Teach Our Children...
- We teach our children that God is Life—the Life within each of them and in all Creation; that all people are children of the One God—regardless of race, color or creed, and therefore, all are brothers and sisters.
- We teach that God is Good—all Good—and we are all created in the image of God—Good.
- We teach that God is Love—that we love God because God loves us; we obey God's laws through love, not fear.
- We teach that sin is a mistake and when we make mistakes, we are punished by them—not by God.
- We teach that God is Spirit and present everywhere—that this Spirit is within us and speaks to us through our minds when we are willing to listen.
- We teach that there are spiritual laws that must be obeyed just as we obey man-made laws.
- We teach that religion is something to be used every day—not just on Sundays.
- We teach that Religious Science is a religion that can be used at home, at school and at play; that since God is within us, heaven is also within us—that is we learn to live our lives in harmony with God's Law, we live in heaven now.
- We teach that God's love heals our sickness and hurt, if we believe.
- We teach that God is truth and beauty, peace and harmony; that as we grow to be more like God, our lives will be filled with health, happiness and success.
- We teach that nothing is too wonderful to happen, nothing is too good to be true: everything is possible to God through me and you!

Children & Youth...
While adults enjoy the 11am celebration each week, our dedicated and loving teachers are helping your children to realize their own inner magnificence. We have separate gatherings for toddlers, ages 3-6, ages 7-11, preteens ages 12-14, plus a special room for parents with infants, at the rear of our Great Hall, where you can watch and hear the celebration in comfort with your child.
Toddlers have their own staffed room next to the bookstore! Mary Ann is our toddler volunteer.
Ages 3-6 work on crafts and hear stories illustrating principles for enduring happiness, with Dawn and Barbara.
Ages 7-11 are our largest group, and meet in the largest classroom where recently they discussed dinosaurs and how to use various virtues to get along better with others and speak up for what they want. Their Earth mural project is a treat for all who view it. Betty, Debra and Jayne are their teachers, using a fine curriculum infused with creativity.
Preteens are the fourth group to gather in the Youth Wing. Ages 12-14, they enjoy an excellent curriculum, many projects of their own, including supervised sleepovers, field trips, and parties. Watch for details on their upcoming activities! Cindy, Deb & Valinda head up this great group of kids.
Teens, our next generation of CLCers, are invited to attend Sunday services with their parents as a means of recognizing their "young adultness" and integrating them into our congregation as a whole. They also have their own "space" in the upper level of the Main Building. Deanna, Jere, Kyle and Terri are working with our fabulous teens.
Rites of Passage

In preparation for the Rites of Passage celebration, the children perform a song they have prepared.

Jesse shares a heartfelt moment with the congregation.

The childrens teachers prepare to both "let them go" and "receive them" into their next class.

As children transistion from one age group to another, CLC's encourage and celebrate this event in their lives.

As always, our own musical talent ushers in the event.
Pre-Teen Heartfelt Living

The first ever "pre-teen" Heartfelt Living class concluded in Oct. of 2005. The class was a great success. Here the
graduates are showing off their end-of-class projects.
